The EUR/USD opened in Asia at 1.4022 and was driven by EUR/JPY flow. The pairing initially range traded 1.4010/1.4027. The EUR/USD initially touched the session low at 1.3980 on the stronger USD and then surged to 1.4080 on EUR/JPY demand. Cable began another volatile Asian session at 1.6133 after again bouncing from the key 1.5975/85 support region. USD/JPY opened in Asia at 78.89 and has traded a broad 0.78.83-81.82 range so far; last at 81.80. The word on the street all yesterday was that the BOJ/MOF would intervene and did so today in spectacular fashion.
